What Yupoo actually is
Yupoo (also written 又拍 in Chinese) is a Chinese image-hosting platform launched in 2013 for wholesale sellers to publish product catalogs. Sellers create albums, upload product photos, and share the album link with buyers. Yupoo itself is NOT a marketplace , there's no add-to-cart, no checkout, no payment processing. Buyers see photos, contact the seller directly (usually via WhatsApp or WeChat), and negotiate/pay outside Yupoo.
For rep watch buyers, Yupoo means: "I'm looking at a wholesale seller's Chinese-language visual catalog. I'll DM them for prices."
Step 1 — Find a trusted seller
Yupoo albums are only useful if you have the seller's contact. Ways to get trusted rep watch seller contacts:

Red flags: sellers with no online reputation history, sellers who ask for full payment before showing you the watch photo, sellers who don't have WhatsApp (Chinese sellers who only use WeChat are OK if you're comfortable with WeChat, but that's a language barrier).
Step 2 — Browse the Yupoo album
Once you have a Yupoo album link (or in our case, a Yupoo-style catalog on our own site), scroll through and note the batches you like. Each product is usually 3-15 photos showing dial detail, case-back, bracelet, and comparison to a reference photo of the genuine.
Prices are usually NOT listed on Yupoo albums , this is intentional. Prices vary by batch (Clean vs BF for the same reference), and Chinese sellers negotiate. Note the album/photo number, don't worry about price yet.
Step 3 — WhatsApp with your list
Message the seller with: (1) the reference photos or batch names you're interested in, (2) your wrist size in inches, (3) your shipping country. Standard reply within 24 hours (we reply in a few hours) with: batch factory name (Clean / VSF / PPF / KV / BF), current price in USD, DHL cost to your country.
Step 4 — Negotiation and payment
For single-piece purchases, prices are usually fixed by the seller (competition between rep dealers has compressed margins). For multi-piece orders (3+), most sellers offer free shipping. For bulk (10+), some sellers offer 5-10% discount.
Payment methods vary by seller , commonly: PayPal Friends & Family, Wise, USDT (crypto), Zelle (US), Western Union. Chinese sellers may also accept WeChat Pay if you're set up. Avoid: sellers who only accept Western Union (harder to trace if something goes wrong).
Step 5 — QC video (critical)
Before shipping, ask for a QC (quality check) video , a 30-second phone video showing the actual watch you're getting. Established sellers do this as standard. This is the moment to catch: wrong color, wrong batch, defects, missing items. If you accept the QC, the seller ships. If you reject, they swap or refund.
Step 6 — Shipping and customs
Standard shipping is DHL Express for US/EU (6-12 days), UPS or FedEx for backup. Package is declared as "digital sport wrist device" or "metal wrist accessory" at $25-35 declared value , this keeps customs duties low and doesn't flag rep terms.
Customs seizure rates in 2026: US ~0.5%, UK ~2%, Germany ~3%, Netherlands ~3%, France ~1%, Canada ~1%, Australia ~1%. If seized, reputable sellers offer 50% credit toward a re-ship. Full refund is not standard for seizure (customs risk is buyer-side once shipped).

The first-order steps are straightforward. What experienced Yupoo buyers know differently:
Seller response speed as quality signal
Trusted Yupoo sellers respond within 2-4 hours on WhatsApp during Beijing daytime. Sellers taking 24+ hours are either overloaded (bad, they'll be slow post-payment too) or drop-shipping without stock (worse, they'll disappear if inventory doesn't ship in from factory in time). Test response speed BEFORE payment. Ask two innocuous questions on WhatsApp 12 hours apart, if both take 6+ hours to reply, decline the seller.
Batch photo authenticity
Before payment, ask for a photo of the specific batch you'll receive. Not stock photos, not Yupoo album photos, but a real photo taken from the seller's warehouse today. Compare against the album photos, if the album has 8 wrist-shot angles and the "today" photo has different lighting, weather background, or wrist model, the seller is showing you a real piece. If they refuse or send only 1 photo, walk away.
Discount tiers you can negotiate
Yupoo sellers publish per-piece prices. Standard negotiation:
- 1 piece: No negotiation. Pay the listed price.
- 2 pieces (bundle): Ask for free DHL. Often granted.
- 3-5 pieces: Ask for 5% + free DHL. Granted 90% of the time.
- 10+ pieces: Ask for 10% + free DHL + priority QC (48h turnaround). Granted, some sellers push back to 8% + free DHL.
- 50+ pieces (wholesale): Custom pricing. Introduce as reseller, ask for wholesale sheet. Expect 30-40% below retail.
Shipping method breakdown by country
Yupoo sellers offer multiple couriers. Not obvious which to pick:
- DHL Express: US/EU/UK/AU/Canada. 6-13 days. $28-45. Best insurance. Default choice.
- UPS International: US backup. Similar speed. Slightly better US customs record.
- FedEx International Priority: Middle East + Southeast Asia. Sometimes faster.
- SF Express International: Japan, Korea, HK. 3-5 days. Cheapest.
- EMS: Latin America budget option. 14-25 days. Cheaper but slower.
Payment methods · the seller's perspective
Sellers prefer different payment methods based on fees and reversibility. Understanding this helps you negotiate:
- Wise: Low fees to seller (<1%), bank-to-bank, no chargeback risk. Sellers love it. Offer Wise first for a possible small discount.
- USDT (TRC-20): Almost zero fee, instant clearance, no chargeback. Sellers may offer 2-3% discount for USDT.
- PayPal Friends & Family: Small fee (~2%), no chargeback because F&F is gift-flagged. Requires trust.
- Zelle: US only. Instant, no chargeback. Preferred by sellers with US bank access.
- Western Union: Higher fees ($15 flat), no chargeback. Fallback only.
- PayPal Goods & Services: Sellers WILL NOT accept for rep watches. Chargeback risk too high.
Red flags to walk away
- Seller demands 100% upfront with no QC video option. Legitimate sellers always offer QC before shipping.
- Seller quotes prices dramatically below industry norm (Rolex Sub for $35). It's bait, watch will not arrive or arrive as trash-tier batch.
- Seller has no publicly-visible reputation history. Ask for Reddit handle, forum profile, or WhatsApp screenshot references from prior buyers.
- Seller ships from a random Chinese province (Yiwu, Shenzhen suburbs) rather than Guangzhou. Most legitimate rep watch operations run out of Guangzhou; Shenzhen/Yiwu are sometimes drop-ship without stock.
